King Cormac Author

King Cormac mac Airt is a legendary figure who is said to have ruled as High King of Ireland from the Hill of Tara in the fourth century CE in the years before St. Patrick. The subject of many tales, he was famed as a wise and generous ruler. Philip Freeman holds the first joint PhD from Harvard University in Celtic languages and classical studies. He is the author of thirty books, including Celtic Spirituality, Celtic Mythology, and a translation of St. Patrick’s letters. He previously held the Fletcher Jones Chair in Humanities at Pepperdine University.
